2026 Dead of Winter Arts Series
Matt Cusson
No paper tickets. All names will be checked off at the door.

Along with touring all over the globe in his own right, Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Matt Cusson has collaborated with such musically diverse artists as Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Boyz II Men, and Dua Lipa. His work is literally out of this world — his song “Calling it a Night” was used by NASA for its annual Moon Phase video. And he wrote, produced, and performed “The Moon and More” with Javier Colon for NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter project.
Don’t take our word for what a great musician Cusson is. James Taylor said, “You can tell right away when Matt starts playing that he is the real thing.” His is a rock/soul/crooner mix, with vibes ranging from Nat King Cole to Chaka Khan to Todd Rundgren.
The show (with two-piece backup) starts at 7:30 PM, but doors open at 7 for wine, beer, and light eats.

Christopher Castellani ~ Author
No paper tickets. All names will be checked off at the door.

Christopher Castellani’s previous book, Leading Men, is currently being adapted into a film by Oscar-winning producer Peter Spears (Nomadland, Call Me By Your Name). His novel All This Talk of Love was a New York Times Editors’ Choice, while A Kiss from Maddalena won the Massachusetts Book Award, and The Saint of Lost Things was named a BookSense (IndieBound) Notable Book. In other words, his works do not disappoint!
He will be speaking at the Ames about his new novel, Last Seen, to be released February 17th. (Buttonwood Books & Toys will be on hand with copies for sale, with an informal author meet-and-greet and signing session.)
New York Times bestselling author Celeste Ng calls Castellani’s latest book a “morally complex and life-affirming exploration of what it means to be alive, and of the enduring power of love to transform, reanimate, and redeem.”
Castellani, who for almost 20 years served as the artistic director of the premier writers’ group GrubStreet, is currently the Writer-in-Residence at Brandeis University. A terrific speaker as well as writer, his book discussions are a true pleasure.
The talk starts at 7:00, but doors open at 6:30 for wine, beer, and hors d’oeuvres.
Tickets: $25 each

Regie Gibson
No paper tickets. All names will be checked off at the door.

Whatever you think about poetry, Regie Gibson will make you re-think it. Named the Commonwealth’s first poet laureate by Governor Maura Healey, he doesn’t recite his poetry. He performs it in rousing style — with a three-piece backup band. A National Poetry Slam champion, Gibson has worked with the likes of Gwendolyn Brooks, Kurt Vonnegut, and John Legend and has performed both nationally and internationally.
Gibson has also served as a consultant for the National Endowment for the Arts “How Art Works” initiative and the “Mere Distinction of Colour” — a permanent exhibit examining the legacy of slavery and the U.S. Constitution at President James Madison’s home in Montpelier, Virginia. And he is the author of Storms Beneath the Skin as well as the creator of the Shakespeare Time-Traveling Speakeasy — a theatrical, literary-musical performance focusing on the life, works, and influence of William Shakespeare.
We’d love to tell you who his performances remind us of, but we can’t. His are truly iconoclastic presentations.
The show starts at 7:30 PM, but doors open at 7 for wine, beer, and hors d’oeuvres.
